During The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers,
Lord Zedd Palace, located on Earth's moon, served as the key base of
operations for the villains of the
Power Rangers.
It was initially inhabited
by Rita Repulsa and her band of
henchmen, Goldar,
Finster,
Scorpina,
Squatt, and
Baboo. During the second
season, Lord Zedd threw out Rita
and took over as its head. When Rita returned, she eventually
married Zedd and they plotted together from the palace. Both Rita
and Zedd employed putties as their warm up fighters against the Rangers.
Rita's brother, Rito Revolto,
joined the band of villains during the third season. Rito brought
with him Tengu warriors to fight the Rangers.
Later in that season, Master Vile, Rita's father, also joined forces with
Zedd and Rita to help destroy the Power Rangers. For a brief
time Master Vile took on the role of chief villain to the Rangers.
Master Vile was eventualy driven back to his home planet by the
Alien Rangers,
but not before rendering the Rangers powerless by turning them into
young children. Lord Zedd and Rita continued their attack on Earth, now
defended by the Alien Rangers. Eventually they summon
Hydro Hog, the cheif villain
from the Alien Ranger's home planet, to aid them. Hydro
Hog was a tough opponent, but was finally destroyed by the Alien Rangers.
With the comming of the Machine Empire,
Lord Zedd, Rita, and their Henchmen were driven away from the palace. They fled
to Master Vile's home planet. During the reign of the Machine Empire, Rita and Zedd
plotted their return. Their plans included aiding the Rangers and striking
back at the Machine Empire.
In the first Power Rangers Movie,
The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers the Movie,
Lord Zedd and Rita freed a being known as
Ivan Ooze, so that he could
defeat the Power Rangers. He destroyed the
Command Center and
nearly killed Zordon. At this
point he trapped Lord Zedd and Rita and took control of the palace. He
was eventually defeated by the Power Rangers and their mighty
Ninja Zords. Ivan Ooze employed
Tengu Warriors as his warm up crew for the Rangers.(The movie
is on a different timeline then the
series. It takes place after the second season of the Power Rangers,
but does not integrate with the rest of the seasons.)
